Whole Surplus is invested by 500 Startups and is a Techstars company. Also we are chosen as one of the finalists of Accelerate 2030 by UNDP and will participate in the program this fall.
We currently operate in Turkey with Metro, Migros and Carrefour and will begin working with Real in Germany very soon.
Co-founder and CEO of Whole Surplus Olcay Silahlı has six years of FMCG experience in Unilever as brand manager and ran Food Waste Awareness Campaigns before. Co-founder and CTO of Whole Surplus Arda Eren has has 7 years of academic and private sector computer science experience, and built the Whole Surplus Platform.
In six months since our operations began 230,000 meals and 80 tonnes of food and have been saved through Whole Surplus platform also preventing 256,000 kg of CO2 emission.
