Nick recently joined ABA as MD, having spent nearly 20 years managing client-side Insight teams. Nick began his career in the research industry working for agencies NOP, RDSi and Maritz before moving to Orange in 1999. At Orange he was fortunate enough to work on the launch of the Orange brand in 14 countries After a spell working at leading UK retailer Marks & Spencer, Nick returned to Orange again in 2004 to lead their UK insight team, working on innovative propositions such as Orange Wednesday, Orange Premier and the Animal Tariffs. As part of the joint venture which brought together the Orange and T Mobile brands in the UK, Nick led research, analytics and market intelligence across both brands before joining the project team which launched a new 4G mobile brand, EE into the UK Market. Nick moved to lead the Insight team at The National Lottery, playing a key role in their CRM and customer experience strategies and was fortunate to be involved in supporting key campaigns such as the award-winning ‘ I am Team GB’ for the Rio Olympics. With Nick joining retail experts ABA, he has brought a great client-side understanding to the agency – ensuring that strong client partnerships remain the bedrock of its core values. The move back to agency-side enables Nick to focus on his passion for delivering insight that can really make a difference to a brand. Retail remains a fascinating area for Nick and with a healthy client base of major blue-chip retailers including John Lewis, M&S and Asda, ABA was the perfect fit.
